In addition to the design of and software development for newly built plants, we offer solutions for the data and system analysis, modelling and process optimization of existing plants. These are specific process-related tasks for which we employ both conventional and innovative system-theory procedures and methods such as state models, fuzzy systems and neural networks.
Core capabilities:
Frank Seiferth (Dipl-Ing.) founded SEITEC (Seiferth Technologies) on May 1, 1998 in Bad Blankenburg, Germany. In April 2002, the company moved into its own new building in Königsee, Germany, establishing state-of-the-art working conditions for our employees.
Three full employees and one freelance software developer currently combine to form the staff of our young company. SEITEC took another major step in October 2003 when it incorporated as SEITEC GmbH with Frank Seiferth as general manager.
At SEITEC, we develop and create custom-designed automation systems for process engineering and technology, supply and disposal technology and mechanical engineering.
Our services range from the design of automation schemes and the realization of complete projects to starting up facility operations and after-sales servicing. In terms of research and development, we focus our work on the data and process analysis of current facilities using system theory methods such as Fourier analysis, correlation analysis and transfer function analysis, while offering optimization schemes based on CI methods such as fuzzy systems and neural networks. We have been cooperating successfully with the University of Applied Sciences of Jena, Germany in this area for several years.
As a dynamic, modern company, we view our main task as providing innovative solutions as a way of securing decisive competitive advantages for our customers. In addition to successful traditional processes, we make use of the latest in data and systems analysis, automation and process optimization know-how. Our project teams work in close collaboration with our customers, and highly qualified, competent experts are available for consultation throughout each project phase. Indeed, we do not expect you, the customer, to accept a preplanned cookie-cutter facility, but create custom system solutions that harmonize well with your individual processes.
In today’s age of globalization, we by no means limit our market to Germany, and are already active worldwide, with facilities planned and made operational in Spain, Poland and China.
We view our employees’ expertise and personal qualifications as the basis of our company development and business success. Comprehensive development and customeroriented service, state-of-the-art technology, and complete reliability form the foundation of our company culture.
As an innovative, young company,we seek to use and actively refine the latest processes and know-how in data and systems analysis, automation and process optimization, in addition to traditional successful techniques.
Our work in these fields includes close cooperation with the department of electrical engineering and automation technology of the University of Applied Sciences, Jena, Germany. Together with Prof. Karl- Dietrich Morgeneier, we have supervised three diploma theses that have dealt with artificial neural networks and fuzzy technologies.
On June 13, 2002, an important date in our young company history, we received word of support from the German Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology for a project run jointly with the University of Applied Sciences, Jena. The project is entitled “Integration of computer-supported intelligence into automation solutions for biotech systems.”
For the past year, we have been working together on an “intelligent” solution for biochemical processes that are difficult to master. The project was completed in early 2004.
2001 Diploma thesis, Michael Wächter
Basic research on the use of artificial neural networks and fuzzy technologies for the process optimization of wastewater treatment plants. Simulation of results using real treatment plant process data.
2002 Diploma thesis, Jürgen Rummel
Development of a software module to implement different artificial neural networks for user-specific automation solutions.
2002 Diploma thesis, Andreas Trümper
Practical implementation of process optimization using artificial neural networks and fuzzy methods for a water treatment plant.
A highlight of our research and development activities was in June 2002, with the receipt of a grant approval decision by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) through the funding of a research project in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences Jena. The cooperation project was titled “Integration of computer-aided intelligence in automation solutions for biotechnical systems”. The project, developed in the various software tools for “smart” regulation for otherwise difficult to control biochemical processes, was successfully completed in early 2004.
